* If you have problems getting the baby to breastfeed while you are still at University, call the University Hospital  Breast Consultant at extension # 706.

* Apply a small amount of Karo syrup on the nipple.

* If nipples are inverted, use a nipple shield.

* Don't give up! Don't become frustrated!  (Your baby has to learn too!)
